Ramadan is an important time of the year for Muslims around the world, and the United States of America is no exception. This year, the Islamic holy month of Ramadan falls from April 12 to May 11, 2023. During this time, Muslims across the United States will fast from sunrise to sunset each day, abstaining from all food and drink. In addition to fasting, Muslims will also be engaging in extra prayer and charitable giving to honor the month of Ramadan. The Ramadan calendar for the United States of America in 2023 will be slightly different than in previous years. In the United States, the first day of Ramadan will be April 12, 2023 and the last day will be May 11, 2023. The first day of fasting will begin on April 13 and will continue until the last day of Ramadan 2023 USA. The ninth day of Ramadan, called “Laylat al-Qadr” or the “Night of Power,” is considered to be the holiest night of the year and is said to bring the greatest rewards. The Laylat al-Qadr will begin on May 4, 2023.
