Tudor offers finally launched a more compact GREENWICH MEAN TIME (GMT) watch, the Black These types of Pro 39mm with a set bezel.
The form of the Black Bay Professional is slightly retro, but nevertheless has all the characteristics associated with Tudor, including a proprietary motion with a silicon hairspring along with a newly developed T-Fit fine-tuning clasp.
The Black Bay Pro is the more compact Tudor GMT (GREENWICH MEAN TIME) I've been hoping for. It has a 39mm case, like the Black Gulf 58, the perfect size for me. Thanks to the internal MT5652, very low true GMT function.
It also gets a good upgrade: the T-Fit hold, which allows fine-tuning on the fly, an attribute usually found on pricier timepieces.
The appearance of the Rolex Explorer 2 ref certainly deserve interest. 1655, which is a good thing (it was probably designed to zeichen on purpose).
Arguably, the only downside may be the thickness of the case. The watch is actually 14. 6mm tall, although not overly chunky. As the flat, vertical sides of the watch case do jut out of elevation, it doesn't feel unwieldy within the wrist.
Another only potential downside will be the fixed bezel, which means this timepiece can't track the third time-zone that might appear on regular GMT. For me, this isn't an issue, as I've never used third time zone feature on the GMT watch.
Still, all things considered, the Dark Bay Pro is an amazing value proposition and one amongst the best buys at the display.
The Dark-colored Bay Pro has a conventional Black Bay dial along with " snowflake" hands, together with a yellow " snowflake" GREENWICH MEAN TIME hand. Like several other Tudor watches, the luminous fingers and markers come in beige tones.
However " lume" is a very first for Tudor - the actual hour markers are actually hard sheets impregnated with Super-Luminova luminous coating applied to the particular dial. As a result, they absence the bezels that are typically found on Tudor dial hours markers.
The actual 39mm stainless steel case features a fixed bezel that is etched and filled with black enamel to form a 24-hour 2nd time zone scale. This functions in conjunction with the yellow hands to point two time zones, home some local time.
The Black Bay Master is powered by a Kenissi-made MT5652, just like Tudor's some other proprietary movements. It has a si hairspring and a 70-hour reserve of power.
Finally, this timepiece also comes with a T-Fit form. First seen on final year's Black Bay Fifty-8 Bronze, the T-Fit buckle features a micro-adjustment mechanism which can be adjusted up to 8mm.
