AOL has been around since the 90s and is still a popular email platform. But, like any email client, it's not perfect. Sometimes you'll get a message saying your imap AOL not working.
If you're getting this message, here are some steps to try:
1. Check the status of your account
First, check the status of your account on the AOL website. If you see a green "active" icon next to your name, then your account should be working properly! If not, continue on to step 2.
2. Check from another device or browser
Sometimes issues with AOL will only affect certain browsers or devices—so if you have access to someone else's computer or another device with an internet connection (like a smartphone), try signing into your account there instead. If that works fine but not where you were having problems before (on your home computer), then move onto step 3.
3. Reset your password and try again
If neither of those options work for you, try resetting your password by entering "forgot my password" into the login box on AOL's homepage and then follow their instructions to reset it
